Ya Mas Greek Taverna & Bar

Stopped in for lunch during the week and found this gem! Located in the mall, with an “express lunch” option and it was perfect! Offering a 3 course menu it gave plenty of options and great portion sizes. Would recommend the Greek salad or lemon chicken soup, spanakopita, and of course the baklava for dessert.

The restaurant is really pretty and the ambience is great. The waiting staff are all greek which adds to the vibe. If you are lucky you can catch a show by belly dancers in the restaurants. The food was great. Highly recommend the pita bread platter with all the different dips. The drinks were really good too.

I didn't add as many photos of the dishes as normal because we arrived hungry and I would tender the photos after we had eaten most of the food on the dish. They go all out for Christmas decorations and the food is probably comparable to one of the best restaurants I've been too. Granted it's a bit pricey but you are definitely getting what you paid for. It is very busy and food may take a while to come out, but everything was great. The only thing I tried and thought it could be better was the turokafteri. That was too creamy and not spicy enough. Everything else we tried was great. Parking at the mall during the holidays is crazy and their menu is reduced separately for the holidays too have things that are easier to serve fast (although there were a few delays getting things out, and I only forgive them because the quality was great and they were packed). The only real complaint for me was where it said modern Greek cuisine in the menu and the dishes were not Greek at all. We were even joking with my brother in law saying that they had Greek clam chowder because the dishes were not Greek and at most had some feta in them and do they were "baptized" Greek. I would like to go back when it's not crazy for to the holiday season.

Visited on Christmas Eve. Very beautifully decorated. Christmas music in the background but not overly loud. The food was amazing! No complaints from 8 of us. Some may say the service is slow, and I say it was relaxing. We weren't rushed at all. We got to enjoy just talking. The timing between apps and dinner was perfect. Probably going to be our new Christmas Eve tradition.

I am so happy to have found this place! I have enjoyed each visit! One great way to experience a wide cross-section of their menu is to get their express lunch. It was awesome! Their spreads are so tasty, they include tapenade with breadsticks that makes you feel like you’re in Greece! Just a really great place, family-run, with nothing but friendly and welcoming staff. Make a point to get this on your rotation if you haven’t already found them! This place is a gem!

Went for Greek night! Wow! We had such a fun night. The owners are so kind and make you feel at home. The food was delicious! The Valentine's decoration was so beautiful!!! We can't wait to return. It was worth the drive in the snow.

I love this place! It's my favorite go to place for lunch, dinner, and the 5 course events are so worth it! There food and drink menu is always changing, and I love to try new food items! For lunch they gave us yummy garlic bread with Greek butter and olive tapenade ordered. For an appetizer to share we ordered Cheese Croquets, which were gooey with melted cheese. I ordered my favorite appetizer which is grilled octopus. I even had room for some desert and treid some black forest cake. Everything tasted amazing, with great atmosphere, and amazing service. I was even able to order a Dubai chocolate bar!

First time going here! From the second you walk in, the restaurant was decorated in everything Christmas. It was so pretty to look at. They have a lot of apps for sharing and amazing espresso martinis. They also give you bread and oil to start which was a nice touch. I got the chicken gyro and it tasted really fresh and had a great flavor. It wasn't too greasy or heavy and came with waffle fries on the side. Our server was friendly and helped us decide out of a few things on the menu (everything sounded so good). You can make reservations here or walk in. It's located right in the Salem mall. The music in here was fun as well, really great atmosphere! I would absolutely go back to try about 15 more things on the menu. We were also told they will be updating the decorations for valentines day soon!
